Mimirquest Terms of Service

1. About these terms

These Terms of Service apply specifically to Mimirquest, the household chore and coordination app at mimirquests.com and its iPhone and Android versions. ‘We’ and ‘us’ mean the operator of Mimirquest, who can be contacted at williamengellau@hotmail.com. ‘You’ means the person using the service.

By using Mimirquest, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Nothing here removes rights you have under applicable consumer, privacy or other mandatory laws.

2. Accounts and children

Provide accurate account information, keep your sign-in details secure and do not impersonate another person. You are responsible for your own use of your account. Contact us if you suspect unauthorised access.

You must be legally able to agree to these terms in your country. If you are a minor or cannot agree independently, your parent or legal guardian must authorise your use and agree on your behalf where required by law. Parents and guardians must supervise children's use, arrange any legally required consent and ensure chores are safe and age-appropriate. A household role or invite does not, by itself, establish legal guardianship or consent.

3. The service and cost

Mimirquest helps Family, Co-living and Just me households plan chores, record completions and extra work, review tasks, coordinate calendars, exchange messages and track shared expenses. Features depend on device support and household settings.

Points (XP), levels, streaks and badges are motivational, not money or a fairness measure. They have no cash value and cannot be redeemed for money. Chore auctions are household task hand-offs, not real-money gambling. The effort-weighted balance is a planning aid, not an authoritative judgment of a person's contribution or worth.

Mimirquest is free to use. Your provider may charge for connectivity. Any future paid offering would disclose its price and conditions before purchase; these terms do not authorise automatic charges.

4. Household responsibilities

Only invite people entitled to participate in your household, and share invite links carefully. Household content is shared with members according to app permissions. Do not upload information you are not entitled to share with them. Administrators must use their permissions responsibly.

You are responsible for the accuracy of entries and for deciding whether a task is safe. Never assign dangerous, illegal, humiliating or abusive chores. Parent review and photo proof are coordination tools, not guarantees of safety or completion.

Expense balances and settlement records reflect information entered by members. Mimirquest does not hold or transfer money, collect debts, provide financial advice or decide disputes between members. Check amounts and arrange payments independently. An app entry is not proof that a payment occurred and does not replace your agreements or legal rights.

5. Acceptable use and reporting

Do not use Mimirquest to share illegal content, threaten, harass, bully, discriminate, defraud, disclose another person's private information without permission, or infringe intellectual property rights. Child sexual abuse material, sexual exploitation, grooming and any content that endangers children are strictly prohibited.

Do not compromise security, access another household without permission, distribute malware, spam, manipulate records dishonestly or interfere with the service. Comply with applicable law.

Report abusive content, safety concerns or suspected violations to williamengellau@hotmail.com. Include enough detail to locate the issue, without forwarding illegal images. We may investigate and restrict or remove content or accounts as appropriate, and cooperate with lawful requests. For immediate danger, contact local emergency services; Mimirquest is not an emergency service.

6. Your content and our software

You retain ownership of content you submit. You grant us a non-exclusive permission to host, process and display it only as needed to operate the service, including sharing it with your household according to app permissions. You must have the necessary rights and permissions for uploaded text and photos.

Mimirquest's software, branding and original materials belong to their respective owners. You may use the app for its intended household purposes, but may not copy, resell or exploit it in violation of applicable law or third-party rights.

7. AI assistance and notifications

AI-assisted suggestions, such as receipt details or chore titles, can be inaccurate. Review and correct suggestions before saving or relying on them; they are not professional advice.

Notifications depend on your permissions, device, connectivity and external delivery services. Delivery or timing is not guaranteed. Do not rely on reminders for urgent, safety-critical or legally required actions.

8. Privacy

Our Privacy Policy explains how personal information is handled and how to contact us about your data. Upload photos and other personal information only where you have the necessary permission. These terms do not replace any legally required privacy consent.

9. Ending use and account requests

You may stop using Mimirquest at any time. Contact williamengellau@hotmail.com to request account deletion or help with your data. Leaving a household through the app may require resolving a recorded non-zero expense balance; this does not remove statutory privacy or deletion rights.

We may restrict or suspend access for serious or repeated violations, security threats or legal requirements. Where appropriate and lawful, we will explain the reason and allow you to contact us to challenge the decision. Uninstalling the app does not itself delete your account. Data requests are handled as described in the Privacy Policy and applicable law.

10. Availability and responsibility

We aim to keep Mimirquest useful and available, but interruptions, bugs or loss of access may occur. Keep independent copies of important records. We cannot guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation or resolve personal household disagreements.

To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided as available without additional guarantees, and we are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses arising from its use. Nothing excludes or limits responsibility for fraud, wilful misconduct, gross negligence, death or personal injury caused by negligence, or any liability or consumer protection that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.

11. Google Play, Apple and other services

These terms are between you and the operator of Mimirquest, not Google or Apple. Your use of Google Play, the App Store, your device and any third-party services is also subject to their applicable terms. Google and Apple do not operate your household or resolve disputes about its chores or expense records. These terms do not override mandatory store terms or applicable law.

12. Changes and disputes

We may update these terms as the service or legal requirements change. The current version and its effective date will be shown on this public page. Material changes will be communicated appropriately before they take effect where required by law. If you do not agree to revised terms, you may stop using the service; changes do not remove accrued statutory rights.

Contact us first if you have a complaint so we can try to resolve it. Applicable law determines your rights and the courts or complaint bodies available to you. These terms do not require mandatory arbitration or prevent you from using consumer remedies available where you live. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted by law.
